The Heresies Project serves to curate and analyze Heresies, a pioneering work of feminist art and criticism.
This collaborative project researches the lives and work of the hundreds of women who were involved in the journal’s publication from 1977-1993 and, through an intersectional framework, brings the reading of Heresies into the 21st century.
This recovery, recuperation, and preservation work will include annotated readings of selected essays in Heresies, biographical information and interviews with the women involved in the journal’s publication, and commentary on the feminist context that gave rise to Heresies.
Our goal is to establish a long-running, collaborative, interdisciplinary research project.
The Bucknell Research Team
Heresies at Bucknell is a collective in our own right: a group of students, faculty, and staff with interests and talents that together embody the principles that brought the original Heresies Collective together in 1977.
